Is it really possible to turn flat (sic) MC.Escher drawings into life-like real CAD 3D models? Why not…

Illusory rabbit or duck, now a 3D sculpture
Up to now, we had the pretty engraving from Joseph Jastrow in 1899 where a rabbit seems to forget its species to transform itself into a duck.

Here comes now the sculpture inspired by the painting and representing the same character always source of visual confusion.

Triangle in Ophoven, Belgium
This sculpture is seen as a triangle, only if observed from one specific angle.
Impossible perspective
Interestingly, one of the simplest optical illusion has been built in various sizes allowing to see it out of a book or your computers screen. Real life sculptures, I mean. Francis Tabary made most of these.
